Device Requirements for Virtual Classes

To meet ICBC’s requirements for virtual classroom training, students must attend each Zoom session using one of the following:

  • A desktop computer
  • A laptop computer
  • A tablet with a sufficiently sized screen

The device must have a functioning camera, microphone, and speakers, as well as a reliable high-speed internet connection. The student’s camera must remain turned on throughout the class so that the instructor can verify the student’s identity, attendance, and participation.

Smartphones and other small-screen mobile devices are not acceptable for attending virtual classes. Students must also participate from a quiet, distraction-free location where they can remain visible, hear the instructor clearly, and take part in all classroom activities.

Students who do not have an acceptable device, cannot remain clearly visible on camera, or are unable to participate because of technical or environmental issues may be required to leave the session and reschedule the class.

Below, you will find links to copies of our Registration, and a copy of our BC Policies and Procedures.
